According to website WWD MAC is teaming up with Indian designer Manish Arora to create a limited edition collection for the company.

The line includes a six-shade eye shadow compact, titled Eyes On Manish; two lipsticks; two hues of Lipglass, and two shades of Powder Blush. Prices will range from 10.50 pounds, or $20.90 at current exchange, for a Lipglass to 30 pounds, or $59.72, for the eye shadow palette.
Unfortunately if you’re not living in the U.K., the United Arab Emirates, France, Austria, Greece, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand or Singapore, you’re out of luck when it comes to this particular collection. No word on whether or not it will be available on websites in North America.
The collection will debut in October.
On July 31st a limited edition batch of Lancome’s newest vibrating mascara Oscillation will be released in stores for one day and one day only before it goes back in the box until September. The price tag is $34USD and a slice of your dignity. Vibrating mascara? Are you kidding me? How lazy do you have to be. Mascara is one of the easiest parts of the beauty routine. You barely move your hand. Look, you can even just not move your hand at all and blink into the brush.
Of course I’m curious, but not $34 curious. And why does everything have to vibrate now? Toothbrushes, back massagers, “back massagers,” that weird face cleaning pod thing. I like to keep my makeup case technology free. Paints and brushes are all I need.
But if you’re still interested, you can pick up your very own vibrating mascara at these locations on July 31st.

The truth is, I’m pretty clueless when it comes to jewelery. Friends who come to me for fashion advice will receive a blank stare when they hold out a bracelet or necklace and ask “is this ya know, trendy?” I tend to just wear classic pieces that have sentimental meaning. Around my neck you’ll find a plain silver chain given to me by my boyfriend many years ago for my 16th birthday, a gold horse bit necklace, a sliver cross and occasionally something from Tiffany.
So its rare when I find myself drooling over a piece of jewelery.

Toady while surfing Etsy I stumbled upon Star of the East a lovely little company out of Turkey and I was instantly drawn to their rings from the Sea Urchin Collection. These pieces are absolutely exquisite and unique. And as a west coast girl I am automatically attracted to anything with a beach theme.

The rings are selling for about $60.00USD which is incredibly reasonable. The craftsmanship looks pretty high quality and i like the diversity of pearls and jewels placed on the top. One of these would make a perfect statement cocktail ring for Fall. What do you think?
For as long as I can remember, my house has been full of handmade and novelty soaps. Ya know, ones with a plastic dinosaur or Virgin Mary in the centre, or ones shaped like or smelling like something you would find in a bakery.
I still have a passion for adorable soaps today, but now I imagine them placed neatly in an immaculate guest bathroom while setting up for another fabulous cocktail party in my beautiful downtown Vancouver apartment. Its a yuppie fantasy I can’t escape.
ANYWAYS, if you haven’t checked out the online store Etsy yet, I suggest you do. They’ve got great homemade goodies and often at amazing prices. I’ve been cruising their bath and beauty section and have found some amazing soaps.
Check out Savor for droolworthy soaps. I’ve tried to pick a favourite, but I can’t. On the left is their Japanese Mango soap made with “Deliciously sweet mango on one side, and spicy, gorgeously scented wasabi on the other!” And the best part is, its only
$4.50USD. Another one I’m loving is the oh my god, chocolate chip cookie dough soap. “This bar is generously scented and has a whipped, batter-like texture — excellent for scrubbing but with the utmost gentleness. No fake chocolate scent here — this is real chocolate!” And again, for the great price of only $5.00USD.
Other great soap stores on Esty to check out are Sweet and Tranquil, Aromatic Body Oils (If Vancouver Island and the Gulfs were turned into soaps they would look like these), and Spa Therapy.
When it comes to drugstore brands, I always keep my eye on what Rimmel London is doing. I’ve always been a huge fan of their bronzer and eyeliners, and lately I’ve noticed the brand branching into products reserved mainly for higher end brands. They have a few primers and just yesterday I picked up their version of the paint pot Colour Mousse eyeshadow in Black Pearl for a mere $8.99CAD.
I haven’t had a chance to use it yet. I have a terrible cold, and leaving the house isn’t an option, and neither is a smoky eye. So I will return to my Battlestar Galactica marathon and when I’m well I’ll be sure to post a review.
Have you tried Rimmel’s Colour Mousse eyeshadow? Awesome or horrible?
