So its finally been decided.  My Halloween costume will be… Lindsay Lohan and the cherry on top? My boyfriend is going to be Samantha Ronson

My costume will include leggings, some sort of slutty top, a bleach blonde wig, a pack of cigs and of course Ray Bans.  While my bf’s costume will be well, my black skinny jeans, a Kid Robot tee, my brother’s trainers, more Ray Bans and of course, that stupid hat.  God I hate that hat…

It should make for some interesting photos.

Sometimes I can’t bring myself to spend 25 bones on a MAC or Chanel polish and have to slum it in the Shoppers Drug Mart makeup isle.  I recently picked up a Sally Hansen Maximum Growth polish in Fair Fawn, a sweet baby pink colour similar to MAC’s Cremesheen shade Seasonal Peach.

It sucks.

This stuff is like oil paint.  It takes like 24 hours to dry, even with OPI’s quick dry top coat.  Last night I put it on at around 6pm, and woke up in the morning with gross smudgy nails.  So I reapplied it when I got home this morning, and again, smudgy nails mere hours later.   Bad bad bad.

Unfortunately this looks like one for the trash can.  So now I’m wondering, are there any good drugstore brand polishes?  What do you use?

Doesn’t this make you a little sick?

What could a two year old possibly want or need from Hermes?  When I was two I was wearing hand me downs and Please Mum.  What do you think this child’s daily life is like?

Buy This: MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre

For my birthday my lovely parents gave me a gift card for The Bay which of course I chose to spend exclusively on makeup.  Besides picking up a little Dior Show mascara, I grabbed my first paint pot from MAC in Soft Ochre.

Wow.

Soft Ochre is a creamy yellow beige cream based eye colour and it works better than any eye shadow primer I’ve ever used before.  The colour is matte and goes on without creasing creating the perfect base for powder shadow and liner.  More importantly it stays on all day without fail, which is great for me, because as much as I love makeup, I’m also relatively low maintance and don’t like having to touch up my face during my day.

MAC paint pots are available in store or online at maccosmetics.com for about $22.00 CAD

I Heart Juicy

It’s new, it’s adorable, its the new limited edition Juicy collection exclusively for Sephora.

This new collection includes a manicure kit, a tote bag, a $400 train case, and my personal favourite, an affordable and adorable brush kit for $80 USD.  I own the Marc Jacobs Cushy brush set that was released this summer and can safely say that these are high quality brushes that I love to use.

The Juicy kit includes an angled brush, a fluffy shadow brush,  a foundation brush, and my personal favourite a big ass feathery brush perfect for highlighting and finishing touches.

They come in an adorably lush pink and gold case perfect for a princess, with a cute little heart shaped mirror inside.  I’m officially in love.

The kit is currently sold out online (the only place, unfortunately, that I can buy Sephora’s wares) so I’ll have to wait.  For now, I want to know what you think of this new set.  Do you have any of Sephora’s other limited edition brush sets?  Are they worth it?
